Who this covers
This policy applies to the ColorMem app for iPhone and iPad, and to this website. The app and site are operated by GER IT Consultancy, a sole proprietorship registered in the Netherlands.
Data we collect
None. The app asks for no personal information and has no way to send information to us. Specifically, ColorMem does not collect:
- names, email addresses or contact details
- account credentials - there are no accounts
- location data
- device identifiers or advertising identifiers
- usage analytics, crash telemetry or behavioural data
- contacts, photos, microphone or camera access
The app contains no advertising, no third-party analytics and no tracking software of any kind.
What is stored on your device
Your settings (display time, difficulty, color count, language, sound, appearance), your round-by-round history and your per-game score log are saved using your device's local storage. This data stays on your device, is never uploaded anywhere, and is deleted if you delete the app.
Network access
The game itself runs fully offline. The only thing the app loads that isn't already bundled with it is a small color-name reference file, used only to give the color you're shown a name at the end of a round; that lookup never sends any information about you or how you play.
Purchases
ColorMem is a paid app sold through the App Store. Apple handles the purchase, the payment and any refund. We never see your payment details. Apple reports aggregate sales figures to us - totals and country-level summaries, with no information identifying individual buyers. Apple's handling of your data is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children. There is no chat, no user-generated content and no social feature of any kind.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability over your personal data. Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to retrieve, correct or delete beyond what already lives only on your own device, under your own control.
This website
This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics. The one exception is your language choice for this website, which is remembered in your browser's local storage purely so the site opens in the same language next time; it never leaves your browser. The live preview on the home page runs entirely in your browser and nothing about it is recorded or sent anywhere.
Open source components
ColorMem uses one open source dataset to generate color names shown at the end of a round. See the open source notices for details and the full license text.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be published on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
