Who this covers
This policy applies to the Color Glimpse app for iPhone and iPad, and to this website. The app and site are operated by GER IT consultancy, a sole proprietorship registered in the Netherlands.
Data we collect
None. We run no server for the app and have no way to receive information from it. We ourselves do not receive:
- names, email addresses or contact details
- account credentials - there are no accounts
- your location
- device identifiers or advertising identifiers
- your scores, usage analytics, crash reports or behavioural data
- contacts, photos, microphone or camera access
The app contains no analytics or tracking software of our own. The one third-party component that processes data is the advertising SDK described below.
What is stored on your device
Your settings (difficulty and language), your round history (for each round the target color, your color, the score, the time taken, the difficulty and the date, up to the latest 500 rounds) and a few small counters used to unlock achievements (for example how many perfect rounds you have played and on which days you played) are saved using your device's local storage. This data stays on your device, is never uploaded by us, and is deleted if you delete the app. You can clear the round history at any time with the Clear History button on the History screen.
Advertising
Color Glimpse is free and is supported by one small banner ad at the bottom of the screen. The ad is served by Google AdMob through the Google Mobile Ads SDK. To deliver and measure ads, Google may collect data such as the device's IP address (which can be used to estimate the general location of the device), device identifiers including the advertising identifier, information about the ads shown and how they were used, and diagnostic and performance information. Google processes this data under its own policies: see Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. We receive only aggregated advertising reports from Google, never data about individual users.
Your choices:
- On iOS the app asks for your permission (App Tracking Transparency) before Google may use your device's advertising identifier. If you decline, ads are still shown, but they are not personalised with that identifier, and the game works exactly the same. You can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- In some regions, including the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, a consent form from Google may appear first so you can decide how ad data is used.
- There are no pop-up ads and no video ads between rounds.
Game Center
Game Center is optional. If you are signed in to Game Center on your device, Color Glimpse sends your scores and achievement progress to Apple's Game Center so they can appear on the leaderboards and in your achievements. This is handled by Apple, under Apple's Privacy Policy and your Game Center settings. We never see your Apple Account details. If you are not signed in to Game Center, nothing is sent and the game works the same.
Network access
The game itself runs fully offline. The app uses the network only for the ad (Google) and for Game Center (Apple), and when you tap a link in the app, such as the source links in the Brain section or the RGB and HSL explanations. Those links open in your browser and the websites they lead to have their own privacy policies.
Purchases
Color Glimpse is free and has no in-app purchases. Apple handles the download. Apple reports aggregate download figures to us, with no information identifying individual users.
Children
Color Glimpse is a general-audience game and it shows a banner ad from Google AdMob. It has no chat, no user-generated content and no social feature of its own.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability over your personal data. Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to retrieve, correct or delete beyond what already lives only on your own device, under your own control. For data processed by Google (advertising) or Apple (Game Center), you can exercise your rights with them under their policies linked above.
This website
This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics. The one exception is your language choice for this website, which is remembered in your browser's local storage purely so the site opens in the same language next time; it never leaves your browser. The practice round on the home page runs entirely in your browser and nothing about it is recorded or sent anywhere.

Besides the advertising SDK described above, Color Glimpse includes other third-party software. Its notices are on the notices page.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be published on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
